Senator Wicker Criticizes Democrats For Stalling EPA Confirmation

Sen. Wicker

(Washington, DC)  —  One of Mississippi’s senators is lashing out at Democrats for stalling the confirmation of the nominee for Environmental Protection Agency administrator.  Republican Roger Wicker is a member of a Senate committee that hasn’t been able to vote on Scott Pruitt’s nomination because of a Democratic boycott.

Wicker says there’s no question that the Oklahoma attorney general is well-qualified to lead the EPA and says Democrats are trying to block the nomination because they’re still upset about the results of the presidential election.

But some of them say they have real concerns over Pruitt’s views on climate change.
