Self-Imposed Precautionary Boil Water Notice Issued for City of Oxford Water System
The City of Oxford has issued a self-imposed precautionary boil-water notice for all customers that receive water from the City of Oxford, including those customers outside the City limits.

This notice is following one of more water main breaks due to the excessive flooding in the area. This does NOT affect other water systems. It only affects customers of the City of Oxford water system, Oxford Utilities. The City will be collecting water samples to be tested by the Mississippi Department of Health.

Until the precautionary Boil-water Notice is lifted, customers are advised to boil all water for one minute before using tap water for drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, washing dishes, etc. Do not use ice made from recent tap water.
