Cold Front Brings Much-Needed Heat Relief

Mississippi

Finally, some cooler weather in Mississippi.  The first significant cold front of the fall will push temperatures tonight across much of the state into the 50s for the first time since May.  It’ll be a nice change for all of us in Mississippi, but especially folks in Meridian.

After suffering through their hottest summer in history, fall has gotten off to a sizzling start, too. Yesterday, Meridian had a record high — 99 degrees — for the fourth day in a row.   But, like the rest of the state, the city will see temperatures going no higher than the mid-80s today.
